Aaj Nakku kuchh nahi boli, behosh jo
thi bechari, to apni bhadaas yahi nikaal rahi hoon….
To chalo, ready steady, go….kyun??
dekha nahi??? Marathon Daud chal rahi thi na kal se, aur hamari sprint queen
sprint karte karte ek dhabbe par pahonch gayi. Woh to Bappa ne Ullu pe daya ki, aur
dhabewale ko akkal di, aur usne grey-eyed Sardarji ko Nakku Vahini ko Sriramnagar
Chhodne ko bola. Warna socho, agar Nakku daudte hue Sriramnagar jaati, to Suds
kab tak uske pichhe bail-gaadi chalaata…Waise aisa nazara pehli baar dekha aaj ..bail
gaadi ke andar ullu and ullu ke pathe’.
Ok, no more hathodas’ Chalo shuru
karte hai Patilwadi se Sriramnagar ka safar, As Zuby said, all roads lead to
Shriram Dutta’.
The Episode Starts with Suds following
the truck, Nakku is in, and the truck driver is watching the car through his
rearview mirror. He warns Nakku that someone has been following them since they
left the Dhaba. Nakku has gone into slumberous mode, because she is like
staring the foot rest of the truck. She doesnot reply. The driver draws her
attention towards the rear view mirror on her side, and Nakku suddenly realizes
that it is her dear brother-in-law (Am sure our pyaari tubelight- vahini has not realized that
the Maradona look-alike BG has cheated them, and that the family is back in the dungeon…Gadha and
uski Gadhi”)
The driver understands watching
Nakku’s hawaiyan udi hui hai, and tells her not to worry, and that she is his
sister, and he will save her, even if he has to sacrifice himself’ (It might be something
that is hard to believe, a stranger willing to give life for you, but then good
people have that ability to attract people, who would immediately pledge loyalty
towards them, remember Jagtaap??) Nakku gets all hai voi and asks how far is
Shriramnagar. The driver tells 30-40 kms. Nakusha gives a call to Bappa, Bappa
please make me reach him (It was a heart felt prayer, a prayer of a woman,
tired, hungry, tortured and running for life, to find her life)
And TA-DA….Apko nai pata, Bappa ke
bade bade kaan hai, to usne chhoti chhoti Nakku ki dheeri dheeri awaaz bhi sun
li.and lalalalawe have what we have been aching to see since last Saturday. Our
Hero sitting in the passenger seat, with the Buddha Chacha driving and Seema
all dolled up, sitting in the back seat (Thank you CVs’for not making Dutta sit
beside that Chipku-Chhipkali). Dutta asks nobody in general (love the way
he does not talk to her directly) that weren’t they supposed to stay at
Shatlapur, but Chhipkali answers that there also they would have faced danger
of Chaskar. Dutta is disgusted that he has to be on a run because of
the rat. He asks where they were finally going and so the Chhipkali again
answers that they are going to some Dungarpur. To our Sher asks, ‘Kya mein
pucch sakta hu ke Dungarpur Shatrapur se kitni dur hai” Such a polite way of asking, but you should have seen him saying it, I mean it said that you dare
not have any objection to this. And ofcourse, the Chhipkali is too ready to
oblige and she says that 125 kms.
They show the truck and ullu ki bail
gaadi ka chase, where Nakku suddenly realizes what the poor driver has been
saying since ages, that there is danger coming behind them. (I don’t understand
whether the fasting and running and the torture had taken a toll on Nakusha,
but it was like she was reacting late, I mean the driver has already pledged his undying
loyalty towards you, and then you beg that
please save me??? Arre bhai, jaago!!! the poor man has been, since past
20 kms, telling you the same. That he will save you at any cost.)
The driver increases the speed and the Ullu is like ‘yeh
log speed kyun badha rahe hai???’,’ (I
mean seriously dude, how are your patthas suppose to know the mind of the
truck driver), .. the driver is a ishmart one, he takes a steep turn , and gives
a big chakma to ullu and his ullu ke pathas (Sudarshan Jijaji ki band bajayegi
aaj Tai sahib, You should have seen Ullu look for Nakku and the truck. I
mean seriously, it is a big truck, dude, if it is somewhere near you, you are gonna see
it, you just cannot miss it, so stop moving your head around as if a bee is
taking circles around your head. Even a bee won’t prefer your head to mandrao
herself)
They show the chase for some time, and on the other side, Dutta in Chhipkali’s car, lost in thoughts … and finally the Ulu sees the truck and tells the man to over take it…(the way he says, aye jaldi chalao,,,, it really felt like it were a bail-gaadi, and the bullocks were made to run faster, faster) They overtake the truck and stop it and look inside…Tada……the truck is empty…by empty, I mean, Nakku has escaped, they show Nakku running in some jungle area…and Suds here putting gun on Sardarji’s head and asking him where is the girl.
The Sardar…O I loved the Sardar Chacha… ( A msg to Seema’s Chacha…learn something from Sardar chacha…ussne 1 episode mein hamara dil jeet liya, aur tum itne episodes se aa rahe ho, hume torture karne ke alaava kuchh kiya hai???) The Sardar tells Sud that he had dropped that girl some 10 km back and then he comes closer as if to tell him a secret, and you know what he says, he says, saab, I thought the girl was very frightened…OMG…. I fell off laughing from my chair…the way he played with Suds…But Suds, the ullu, makes his patthas search the whole truck. (arre Suds, aakhir to hai woh Dutta ke BG na, Kuchh dhoondh kaise sakte the)…Suds gives some blows to Sardar Chacha and in the end tells ‘Tera mereko kya Fayda’ and throws him against the truck and leaves ( did anyone feel that this was a very significant sentence…for Sudarshan, it is all about ‘Kya Fayda’ and that is the bottom line, if he has a fayda, he can even sell his parents, and if he doesnot feel any fayada, he won’t even bother feeding his hungry daughter…Of course for that first he needs to find her)

Dutta in the car…Getting all restless…as if he had trouble breathing, as if he could feel something, as if the winds were carrying her smell to him, and he was feeling her enter through his nose into the lungs and into his every fibre of being, as if the blood in his veins was running with double speed and his heart beat had increased…Seema, the Chhipkali thinks that he needs food and water and so keeps pestering him with questions….(Oh shut up woman, give S.P. Balasubramanyam some respect)…
The song ‘Aaja meri jaan, Kaha tha tune sanam’ starts playing..Dutta is having flashbacks…and what flashbacks…the first dream song ‘Laagi Tujhse Lagan’…and we all know that it was Nakku’s imagination, when Dutta could not have dreamed of Nakku’s fair avatar…To Patil saab, aap ke sapne mein gori Nakku punjabi suit mein kaise ayi??? bhai ye kya hai…soul mates dream mates bhi hote hai???
(The song was beautiful …but did somebody feel that although the FB’s were nicely adjusted according to the beats of the song, the song was too sensual for this situation…. I mean it started with a saxophone playing with R.D.Burman music and S.P.Balasubramanyam’s sensuous voice…but with the the family tortured in dungeon, Nakku running for life.. the rhythm and beat of the song somehow felt out of place…My POV ofcourse.. Although the words were perfect matching to his mind set… he has, ever since he has woken up after the accident, been saying that to Nakku that you had promised you will come, when I call, so why are you not coming…awwww Dutta, she is right there, rushing towards you, so open your arms, and she will fit right in)
But although most of the FB’s were from the LTL dream song, I liked that they used some of the flashes of Koel Nakku, from the ‘Amber pe’ Song sequence and the marriage scene and the hug at Anna’s den…owww my favourite scene…I had missed her from the earlier FB’s…you forget everything in this song, you forget Kala, you forget suds, seema, chaskar and the budha chacha…such is the effect of Tasha on screen…you forget everything wrong in LTL and that this is the only right thing that is happening
Loved, Loved the way, Nakku falls just at the finish of the song and the border of Shriramnagar, as if she told her Bappa, I have reached here, now I am surrendering myself, you take care…. It was her sheer willpower and dogmatic perseverance that had brought her here…
They show Ullu with his pathas driving randomly along the highway and wasting precious petrol of Dutta’s jeep Kala is combing her baal which were last week chewed off by random rats of PN……. and she is longingly looking at the mobile…(Arre tu kitna bhi dekh le uski taraf, woh tujhe koi acchi khabar nahi denewala)
Nakku lying unconscious on road and few people gathered around her, (I hate such people, who, gather around the accident victim and gossip instead of taking the victim to the hospital..dur hato ae duniyawalo, Dutta saab padhare hai!!!) The PN family praying looking out of the window, from where sun rays are coming into the room (I loved this scene, AS, Roops, Leela and Madhu all standing in line, looking towards the light and praying… praying the sun to remove this darkness from their life)…
But OMG…MUST SEE scene….Baaji in Kishore’s lap and you seriously should see the way Kishore is sitting, his one hand is supporting Baaji’s head and the other is moving lovingly on his forhead… (I mean…What…Dude, I know you care for Baaji, but let AS do this job, or any of the three girls, … It was one of a life time scene…If I did not know better I would have thought it is two lovers sitting in the garden, with the guy putting his head on the girl’s lap and the girl lovingly ruffling his hair)
Seema’s car stops where Nakku is lying unconscious and Seema gets out of the car and recognizes Nakku, the Budhau also comes out and asks in his horrible voice, that who is she and Seema enlightens him that this is the girl she met in the Mandir, and the useless fellow for the first time says something good and suggests Chhipkali to take Nakku to some hospital. (Loved the way they have edited, AS and family praying, Suds searching, Kala waiting, Nakku lying unconscious, Dutta all bechain and the Car stops near Nakku..wonderful)
The Soulmates:
The moment Nakku is brought near the vicinity of the car, we can see Dutta sit straighter, and getting all alert….Dil ki ghanti baji baji baji…when Nakku falls on her side in the back seat, his face automatically moves in that direction, it is like a kathputli show, nakku ko right ghumao, Dutta will look right, and the LTL theme music is playing,,,, the intensity of the scene, despite the fact that neither are the two touching, nor are able to look at each other, is outstanding…Just the magic of Tasha can create such emotions, even when they are both sitting on different seats…
Chhipkali gets in the car too and puts Nakku’s head on her shoulders and is checking her … and lo!!! Our Gadha gets all posessive, Stop touching my Nakku…and so as Seema is trying to check Nakku, Dutta for the first time, asks her direcly, what happened and whom have you brought?? (Gadhe teri Gadhi ko leke aayi hain)
Chhipkali tells him that it is her friend whom she met in mandir a few days ago and she is a unfortunate woman like herself and she had come to the mandir to find her husband, (still Gadhe ki batti nahi jalti,,,Abe!!! Aisi kitni patniya hai iss puri Ratnagiri mein, teri patni ke alava, jo mandir mein apne pati ko dhodhne jayegi ek hi to aisa namuna hai, teri Nakusha) (Somebody, Somebody please tell me this…Koi to batao.. ke jab ise itni upar fan dikh sakta hai or woh uss par latak bhi sakta hai, to bright day light mein, picche baithi Nakku nahi dikhti??? ab batao brain hai to kaha hai…Intestines mein intertwine ho gaya hai kya???)
Suds car just breaks down across the road where the Chhipkali ki car khadi hai, and Kala calls, to which Suds replies that they are still away from Sriramnagar and they will find both of them…(haha fattu, did not tell kala that he has lost Nakku)
Here Chhipkali suddenly realizes that she will not be able to lay her hands on Dutta with everybody in the car and so she tells the Chacha to move the car ahead…and here Suds car also feels better and they also leave but in the opposite direction..Suds calls Kala to give her the good news that he has lost the sight of Nakku and what a perfect ullu he has been..and Kala tells him that can he ever give her some good news and wonders aloud how did Dutta tolerate him (Because he was a Gadha) but she will not tolerate him and he had better not come back without them and cuts his phone (ahhhh such a sadistic pleasure)
Chhipkali ki car mein hamare soul mates…Nakku is in the back seat, unconsious and Dutta in his reverie and comes out with an excellent poem, depicting the perfect picture of his frame of mind, right now, to us… Hear it guys…in his wonderful voice, we have Dutta pouring out his heart…

and do you think when Dutta calls like this, Nakku will stay put. Can she break the promise, she made to him in her righteous anger…Nah…even unconcsious, Nakusha jerks forward and her hand falls on Dutta’s shoulder…and guys watch Dutta now, he jolts as if he has received a current, as if he has woken from a deep sleep, and he knows, he just knows in his heart, but how can he be sure??? So slowly, he lifts his right hand and tries to put his hand over hers, but not before Chhipkali pulls Nakku’s hand from his shoulder (by the way what was Chhipkali doing, she was pulling Nakku’s hand from Dutta’s shoulder like she was trying to break free Dutta from the tongs of a crowbar, I mean woman! she is unconcious, how strong can her grip be) … and Dutta’s hand misses Nakku’s hand and touches his own shoulder, but you should see the way he caresses his own shoulder, as if wondering what is missing? as if trying to find out what was it, that had touched him so deeply, what was there that he is not able to understand…and then the way his hand slip down and lingers around his heart and remains for sometime, trying to gauge the heartbeat and to understand why a simple and unknowing touch of a stranger’s hand on his shoulder had suddenly cause this chaos in his heart…
The screen freezes on Dutta’s side face trying to look behind where Nakku is sitting unconscious
Precap: Suds and his men wandering around the car where only Tasha are there…Nakku falls forward between the two front seats and Dutta is trying to look at her …but is getting a very hazy vision of her…
Fantastic episode…Tasha finally, and for a change only 2 minutes of Kala and PN people… Baaji in Kishoreee’s lap was too much….But it was MR all the way…. his voice, his eyes and his body language, awesome,,,,Patil saab aap aye bahar ayi…
